about

On March 8th, Reel People Music release their latest soulful tonic for 2024 with the sensual Emmaculate remixes of Home by Atjazz & Shea Soul.

From his misspent youth skateboarding through the small-towns of Northeast England to running a successful independent record label, in-between producing and remixing for a wealth of talent around the world, Martin “Atjazz” Iveson has become synonymous with the highest levels of style, production and innovation in the independent music scene. Fans will recognise that the Atjazz sound is very personal and he puts a part of himself into every track he produces or remixes.

People always ask Shea Soul when it was that she first started singing, but the truth is, she can't remember ever not singing. The passion began long before she could even explain what it was, and the dreams of sharing her voice with the world were always there.

Now after years of learning and experience, Shea has worked with the likes of Toddla T, Basement Jaxx, Bugs in the Attic, Zed Bias, Calvin Harris, Example, and Shy FX to name a few. Writing and featuring on hit club tracks such as 'Make it Funky For Me' with Attacca Pesante, and 'Perfectly' with the Layabouts, music has paved a colourful journey for Shea. She's performed to thousands of people singing worldwide at festivals and stages covering Japan, South Africa, and Europe including the preeminent London Wembley Arena, and Hamburg's famous Mojo Club, and her writing and vocals have featured on released singles globally.

Raised by a Father and Mother who were a musician & abstract painter, Eric Welton AKA Emmaculate was groomed for the arts. Growing up in a city called Elgin on the outskirts of Chicago, he discovered his love for House Music & Hip Hop in the 1980's as a young teenager.

In 1990, Eric started collecting records & learning how to DJ & produce music. He earned the nickname Emmaculate as a play on words because of his immaculate attention to detail & quality beats. He developed his DJ & production skills over the years in House Music, Hip Hop & R&B, and became one of the go to producers & mix engineers in Chicago. Over the years, Emmaculate forged relationships with many of the Chicago legends of House Music, giving him an invaluable education and mentorship.

2017 marked the year that Emmaculate began releasing music as an artist himself. Since, he has produced songs & remixes on labels T's Box, Mirror Ball (in which he is a partner with Terry Hunter), Ultra, Yoruba, Nervous, Reel People Music, Dopewax, 300 Entertainment, Z Records & more. His productions have reached the #1 spot on Traxsource many times. Emmaculate is twice Grammy nominated as a producer on the Ten City album, "Judgement", and as a mix engineer on Terry Hunter's remix of Beyonce's "Break My Soul". His remix of the 90's smash "Show Me Love" by Robin S was the #1 selling record overall of 2022 on Traxsource, and his remix of Mary J. Blige's "Good Morning Gorgeous" was the #3 Afro House record of 2022 as well, earning him a spot in the Top 20 Artists of the year on Traxsource. The success continued into 2023 with Emmaculate giving the remix treatment to artists such as Incognito, Roy Ayers and Barbara Tucker.

As a DJ, Emmaculate has played notable events such as the revered Chosen Few Picnic & Festival in Chicago, Amsterdam Dance Event, SXSW in Austin, Miami Music Week, Suncebeat in Croatia, Mi Casa Holiday in Mexico, and Charivari in Detroit. He is currently available for international bookings in 2024.
